Universal Orlando CityWalk Restaurants: A Foodie Adventure

🔑 Recommended: Toothsome Chocolate Emporium: A Steampunk Sweet Treat

This whimsical, steampunk-inspired restaurant at Universal CityWalk is a chocolate lover’s dream and it’s one of those restaurants that everyone in the family will love.

Toothsome Chocolate Emporium features savory entrees, including steak and seafood options, yummy drinks and of course, wonderful deserts. I had a chocolate old fashioned which was fantastic, alongside a delicious salad (I needed to save room for desert!). The girls loved their mocktails, but of course those famous milkshakes were the highlight.

Overall, Toothsome Chocolate Emporium was a hit with the entire family. From the theme to the decadent milkshakes, it was one of those memorable family dining experiences that everyone will enjoy.

🔑 Recommended: Bigfire: Rustic Charm and Open-Fire Cooking

Another family favorite was Bigfire. If you’re looking for delicious food with a rustic twist, then Bigfire at Universal CityWalk is for you.

This open-fire cooking concept infuses American classics with smoky flavors using various wood pairings. It has a lively and elegant atmosphere and everyone loved their dishes. Don’t miss their s’mores, it’s such a fun experience for children and adults!

🔑 Recommended: Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food: Authentic Mexican Flavors

For a taste of amazing Mexican street food, head to Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food at Universal CityWalk. The highlight for us was the guacamole, freshly prepared tableside—it was an absolute hit with the girls!

The vibrant atmosphere, complete with live mariachi music, creates an unforgettable dining experience. However, I found the margaritas a bit underwhelming. They lacked the punch of a freshly made cocktail and tasted more like a pre-batched mix. Next time we go I’ll stick with a beer. 🍺

That said, the overall experience was fantastic, and the food and ambiance make it well worth a visit!

More CityWalk Dining Gems

Hard Rock Cafe Orlando: Legendary Bites and Rock ‘n’ Roll Vibes

There’s always the Hard Rock Cafe, a CityWalk staple with locations worldwide. From burgers to salads, there’s something for everyone.

Hard Rock Cafe Orlando hosts rotating monthly menus, including lunch, dinner, and the Captain Messi Kid’s menu. They also feature special sporting event menus like The Big Game Tailgate Menu and a Gluten Free menu.

Other Options to Consider

Here are additional Universal CityWalk restaurants to try out:

  • Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar: Home to “burgushi,” a fusion of sushi and burgers. Sample their sushi, burgers, and spiked milkshakes.
  • VIVO Italian Kitchen: Serves pasta, pizzas, and Italian favorites.
  • Margaritaville at Universal CityWalk is the perfect spot to unwind, although it’s not my favorite spot to dine. Escape to this restaurant where “it’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere” all the time.
  • And we can’t forget VooDoo Donuts! It’s a must visit when you are at CityWalk.

Beyond the above options, you will find even more unique options throughout Universal CityWalk. Many visitors consider Red Coconut Club a hidden gem among the nightlife offerings.

Location and Transportation: Getting to CityWalk

CityWalk is easy to reach and open late. Current hours are 8 AM to midnight.

If you’re staying at one of Universal’s on-site hotels like the Hard Rock Hotel, Portofino Bay Hotel or Sapphire Falls Resort, the location is convenient. We enjoyed boat access between the parks and the resort.

If you aren’t parked at a partnering hotel, free self-parking after 6 PM is not always available. Check Universal Orlando’s website for updated parking pricing and event schedules.

Making the Most of Your CityWalk Dining Experience

Reservations are recommended, especially during peak season. But to everyone’s delight, making reservations at CityWalk is not as hectic as making reservations at Disney. We were able to make reservations a few days in advance or the day-of in many cases.
